This one story 5,572 square feet office building is located in front of the I95, a heavily traveled suburban corridor, which gives the building much visual exposure. The existing building was 4,077 square feet of space and was enlarged to 5,572 square feet. The entire existing building was rehabilitated and restored to the image presented here so as to unite the old with the new.
The modern industrial design is shown in the exterior facades with its illuminated perforated metal” towers” and lighted signage, as well as in its interior with the exposed a/c ducts; hanging perforated metal screens and polished concrete floors.
The illuminated aluminum insects/roaches crawling up the perforated metal “towers” is in reference to the company’s business of exterminating.
The building was designed with consideration given to the aesthetic distance and visibility of the automobile traveling viewer because of whom the company’s logos were placed high on the building’s façade and lighted at night so as to “be seen” at all times.
